SmartLipo:

SmartLipo can remove fat cells completely on the areas that are treated - with only a day or two of downtime. The patient is awake during the entire 2-3 hour procedure, which makes it one of the most effective procedures available today. 1. Patients must have an initial visit with the doctor before being treated  (a brief physical and blood work must be provided to the doctor before treatment can take place).

2. Local anesthesia is applied before treatment (where the doctor will make their tiny incision).

3. Several small incisions are made into discrete areas of the body (2mm in size).

4. A saline solution called tumescent is infused into the treated area (which allows laser liposuction to be performed while minimizing blood loss and the risks of general anesthesia.) .

5. Laser light is then applied under the skin at 40 pulses per second (not only breaks down fat cells so that the can be extracted or eliminated, but tightens the skin - making the skin to appear heat shrinked. This can eliminate saggy skin after the liquid fat cells are removed - leaving tight, toned skin).

6. Liquefied fat cells are then removed with a very thin cannula (patients find that they continue to loses inches up to 3-4 months after the treatment).

7. A garment is then fitted on the treated area that will assist in a long-term and safe procedure (garment needs to be worn for a few days, depending on the area that was treated).

8. Patients leave the office to rest for at least 24 hours (some patients may need a ride home, depending on if any medications are prescribed).

9. Post-op treatments are recommended the day after the procedure (more treatments may be needed, depending on the health condition of the patient).

10. Returning to work is usually 2-3 days after procedure (this really depends patient and on their occupation).

11. Strict diet and caloric intake guidelines are mandatory to maintain effectiveness.

Zerona:

Zerona can reduce fat cells on the areas that are treated - without any anesthesia, incisions, pain or downtime. The fat cells are deflated much like a beach ball that releases its air. The cells become flattened and the skin becomes tighter and younger looking over a 2 to 3-week period. Strict diet and caloric intake guidelines must be adhered to maintain your "laser fit" look. Costs vary on areas to be treated (discounted price - $3,500 $2995 for 3 week program - offer expires 7/31/09).
